PROFILE: Bill Brown
Bill started tournament fishing six years ago, with some of his highlights being taking 1999 Lunker of the Year, 2002 Angler of the Year, 2002 District Tournament winner, 2004 PA State Championship, and most recently 38th overall in the BFL Northeast Division, with a 34th place finish in Regional at Kerr Lake in 2005.  My future plans are to fish the Stren Series in 2007. We would like to welcome Bill to the staff and we will be hearing much more from him in 2007.

Topwaters
There is nothing like the excitement of the strike a topwater can generate. Topwater fishing is the only way in which a fisherman can witness the entire fish catching process from the strike to landing the fish. For one split second the fish has entered our world and if the angler can show some patience and resist the urge to set the hook without feeling the fish first there will be one for the livewell.

It’s for that person who strives to be the very best that they can be in anything they pursue; and it doesn’t hurt to have a love for the outdoors and a little understanding of it.

Carolina Rigs
Carolina Rigs are a method that everyone from the seasoned Pro to the weekend angler or even the guides with inexperienced clients can use to catch bass. The Carolina rig is known for its ability to catch a limit of bass quickly, and if you were to modify the lure on the business end of the rig, lets say to a 10 inch worm or lizard it has been known to put some lunkers in the livewell. This is also a lure that works well in rough conditions. It’s much easier to cast into the wind and because of the heavier weight it keeps you in contact with the bottom
